Eminem insults Mariah Carey, hubby Nick Cannon responds

Eminem is back with a new album and it didn't take him long to stir up some controversy.

MTVNews.com is reporting that husband of Mariah Carey, rapper Nick Cannon was "furious" over Eminem's track "Bagpipes from Baghdad" off of the "Relapse" album. The song is a vicious parody of the chart topping female singer.

Cannon fired back at Eminem with a long blog post about racial insensitivity and accused him of being obsessed with Mariah, a woman who "wouldn't let him get to second base from eight years ago." As quickly as he had posted his rant, Cannon removed it. He claims there's no beef with Eminem.

Eminem, in response to the critical post, says Nick Cannon misinterpreted his lyrics. A defense often used by rappers in general when they get called out, but one that is used by Eminem more than most.

In the same MTVNews article, Nick says the real reason he took down the "Eminem slamming" is because of too much traffic. The increase in visitors crashed his server. So his explanation is instead of upgrading his server to let people read his defense of his wife is to simply shut up due to technical problems? Something doesn't quite add up.

Most rap fans would agree that Nick Cannon should have a beef with lyrics like this: "Mariah, whatever happened to us? Why did we have to break up? ...Nick Cannon better back the f**k up...I mean I really want ya bad, ya c**t...Nick Cannon, you prick, I wish you luck with the f****n' whore." Lyrics quoted on MetroLyrics.com.

Not sure how Eminem expects Cannon to misinterpret all of that? As for the rest of the lyrics in "Bagpipes from Baghdad,"no one knows what the hell Eminem is talking about.

To understand a little more of the story one has to go back to 2006 when Eminem spoke about dating Mariah Carey for six months. Exposay.com quotes him as saying, "Yes, me and Mariah did have a relationship for about a good six, seven months. (But) it didn't work. ...She's a diva, and I'm a little more regular, I guess."

It's nice to know Eminem is "regular," but obviously he isn't over the "diva." Nick Cannon may have to reconsider taking down that post.
