"Rock meets horror" band GWAR is participating in Fangoria's Weekend of Horrors. Examiner.com's Heavy Metal Examiner gives dates and location specifying June 5 to June 7 at New York's Jacob K. Kavits Convention Center. This will include appearances by band members Oderus, Urungus, Jizmak the Gusha, and Sleazy P. Martini.

Interestingly enough, The Examiner article mentions that GWAR is NOT putting in an appearance to play music, they' are there to judge a fashion show.

Unlike other fashion shows with lots of skinny models and overpriced evening wear, the runway for "Fangoria's X-treme Fashion Show" will be walked by scream queens dressed to kill. The promotional poster for the event boasts fashions by "Sour Puss," "Live Fast," "Redbuttafly," and other alternative clothing providers.

Other notable guests attending the weekend convention, as posted on Fangoria's own website Fangoria.com, are director Guillermo Del Toro, horror legend Dario Argento, and director Tobe Hooper of "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" fame.
