Donald Trump’s daughter, Ivanka Trump, got engaged this Thursday to boyfriend Jared Kushner.
She published on Twitter, "I got engaged last night ... truly the happiest day of my life!!!"

After dating for over a year, Ivanka, 27, decided to convert to Judaism last year to follow her future husband’s religion.

Jared Kushner, 28, is the son of New Jersey real estate developer Charles Kushner. With the Kushner-Trump marriage, two of real estate’s most prominent families will unite.

Ivanka told the New York Magazine, “Jared and I are very similar in that we’re very ambitious. That’s what makes it so amazing to be in a relationship with someone who is supportive of that.”

Ivanka, a former model, is currently the vice president to her father’s company. Her engagement ring is 5.22 carats, and supposedly from her own jewelry line.

Kushner, on the other hand, is the publisher of the New York Observer, which his father bought for less than $10 million back in 2006.
