ABC’s freshmen series are on a role.
First, the network gave a full season order for their Wednesday comedies: “The Middle” staring Patricia Heaton, “Modern Family” staring Ed O’Neil and “Cougar Town” staring Courtney Cox. (No word on Kelsey Grammer’s “Hank” which leads the line-up.)
Now, the network has also given a full season order for their heavily hyped Sci-Fi drama, “FlashForward.” The show has the distinction of being the first scripted series to beat CBS’ “Survivor” since NBC’s “Friends.” More importantly, the show is number one on Thursday nights among adults between 18-49.
“Flashfoward” centers on a group of people that are able to see what happens on April 29, 2010 after a global blackout strikes. The show features Courtney B. Vance Tony nominee Brian F. O’Byrne and “Harold and Kumar’s” John Cho.
