Michael Jackson’s Mother Considering Wrongful Death Lawsuit

WXYZ Action News in Detroit is reporting that Katherine Jackson, the mother of Michael Jackson, is strongly considering filing a lawsuit against Dr. Conrad Murray for the wrongful death of her son.

This revelation has surfaced just one day after Michael Jackson’s sister, R&B singer Janet Jackson, expressed her opinion during an ABC News interview with reporter Robin Roberts that Dr. Conrad Murray was responsible for her brother’s death due to the fact that he administered him with drugs.

Attorney Adam Streisand, who represents Katherine Jackson and the late Michael Jackson’s three children Blanket, Paris and Prince Michael, unveiled the reasoning behind the fact that a wrongful death lawsuit has not yet been filed on behalf of his client. Streisand revealed that Dr. Conrad Murray’s currently insufficient funds are the underlying reason behind his decision to postpone a potential lawsuit.

Dr. Murray, who is reportedly considering filing a lawsuit against AEG Live for an alleged total of $300,000 in unpaid wages, may ultimately reconsider his options as a result of Streisand’s announcement. Katherine Jackson’s attorney expressed his hope that Dr. Murray would file a lawsuit against AEG Live and be victorious because, as he said, “At least then we’d have some money to take from him.”
