Coldplay is being accused of stealing songs, once again, Rolling Stone reports. In the past, Joe Satriani, Cat Stevens, and Creaky Boards all claim that they wrote the hit song “Viva la Vida,” and that Coldplay stole it.

Now, a singer/songwriter named Sammie Lee Smith claims that three of Coldplay’s songs were originally written by him. Smith says that “Clocks,” “Trouble,” and “Yellow,” are all songs that he recorded since 1976. Apparently, Smith has recorded almost 4,000 songs on 100 tapes.

These sessions were recorded privately, and there is very little chance that Coldplay has ever actually heard the tapes. Smith is asking that the group stop playing these songs live. He is also asking for a monetary compensation.
